Breaking Cebu News! Ship with 200 OFWs docked in Cebu City Port

Earlier today, a ship carrying around 200 OFWs docked in our Cebu City Port. 58 of these OFWs are residents of Cebu City. The rest are from Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu Province and Bohol Province.
These OFWs have already finished their 14 days quarantine in Manila. They have been issued CLEAN BILLS OF HEALTH and were subjected to Rapid Testing before they departed. All tests returned NEGATIVE.
Even with these preventive measures, we still collected swab samples from the OFWs for testing using the PCR Machine. The OFWs were then endorsed to their respective LGUs.
The Cebu City Government also arranged for the transfer of Cebu City OFWs to hotels where they will await the results of their test and if necessary, continue with their quarantine.
Our City Government remains committed to uphold the guidelines set by the IATF and facilitate the repatriation of OFWs to their respective LGUs. According to Mayor of the Cebu City Edgardo Labella
