In China for the third day in a row there are no new cases of COVID-19 infection within the country

In mainland China, 41 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection were registered over the past 24 hours, all from people coming from overseas, the Chinese Ministry of Health reported on its official website.

In Beijing, 14 cases were detected, in Shanghai - nine, in Guangdong - seven, Fujian - four, Zhejiang, Shandong, Shaanxi - two each, Sichuan - one. In total, there are 269 coronavirus infected people who arrived in China from abroad.

Seven people died of coronavirus previously in the country per day, all in the province of Hubei, which is considered the epicenter of the spread of infection.

Since December, the number of coronavirus victims in the country amounted to 3255 people, 81008 cases of the disease were registered. Of these, 3139 died in Hubei, 67.8 thousand people fell ill.

About 6 thousand people are currently undergoing treatment in medical facilities in the mainland, the state of 1.9 thousand patients is assessed as serious. More than 71.7 thousand patients recovered and left medical facilities.

Since December last year, 408 cases of the disease have been registered in Chinese territories outside the mainland: in Hong Kong - 256 (with four deaths), in Macau - 17, in Taiwan - 135 (two deaths).
