MANILA, Philippines — Get your dispensable face covers somewhere else where they're less expensive or make your own, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) recommended on Wednesday, conceding that it couldn't pursue merchants selling overrated face covers on the Facebook Marketplace.
In the midst of the large interest for face veils as defensive gadgets against the novel coronavirus (2019 nCoV), Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said the DTI had requested that online stages keep an eye on their merchants.
In any case, he didn't indicate which stages he was alluding to, and still couldn't seem to react to demands for explanation as of press time.
Lopez said following merchants and their costs on Facebook Marketplace was troublesome, since purchasers and dealers concur between them how and when the exchange would be made.
