CEBU CITY, Philippines — There are currently Filipino residents who are among the 29 patients under scrutiny (PUIs) in Central Visayas because of the 2019 novel coronavirus as of February 5, 2020.
Branch of Health in Central Visayas (DOH-7) Regional Director Dr. Jaime Bernadas, in joint question and answer session with Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia at the Capitol on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, said 21 of these PUIs are conceded in medical clinics in Cebu, while seven are in Negros Oriental, and one in Bohol.
"Wala ko'y collected information however there are Filipinos, local people, among the PUIs," Bernadas revealed to Cebu journalists.
"They are on the whole that were discovered to be symptomatic in all the contact tracings that we have led," the well being official included.
As per Bernadas, PUIs are "those people who have been in contact with a constructive instance of nCoV or those that have as of late made a trip to China who are symptomatic."
Bernadas said that some of the new PUIs in Central Visayas are the individuals who have been in contact with the Chinese couple who were the main affirmed instances of nCoV in the nation.
The Chinese couple, matured 44 and 38, allegedly arrived in Cebu by means of Mactan Cebu International Airport before flying in to Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental.
