Avatar 2 marks end of filming with massive set photo
On the official page of "Avatar" on Twitter published a shot from the filming of a new film by James Cameron.
The photo was taken on the deck of the Sea Dragon, a gigantic ship carrying other ships. The authors note that the photo was taken on the last day of filming in 2019.
In total, director James Cameron has planned three (or four) sequels to Avatar, released in 2009 and worn the highest grossing title in film history. In 2019, the highest-grossing film was the superhero film Avengers: Final.
Avatar 2 is still on its way, and the film crew completed their last film day in 2019.
The film was originally supposed to be released a little over a year ago, but was postponed to 2021.
The photo above shows a massive structure called Sea Dragon, this is a new ship in the franchise. It has been a long journey for James Cameron's project, and people are happy to be back in Pandora.
Given that the shooting process of the second part is not yet complete, we should not expect the first shots in the near future. The teaser trailer is likely to be released only by the end of 2020.
The premiere will take place on December 17, 2021.
