One of the three female workers of Cebu regional government who guaranteed being badgering explicitly by a division head has blamed Councilor Prisca Nina Mabatid for requesting that her pull back the testimony she recorded before the City Legal Office on October 21, 2019.
She said Mabatid called her on her cell phone, asked about her work, and requested that her meet with Lorenzo Basamot, the head if the city's Department of General Services, whom she and her associates have blamed for provocation.
The complainant said she revealed to Mabatid she won't pull back the sworn statement she recorded in light of the fact that doing would make her resemble a liar.
"I disclosed to her what Basamot did to me around then. No untruths, no additional subtleties. He bugged me." she said.
She said she and the two other ladies are never again ready to converse with Basamot in light of the fact that they fear him.

In the interim, previous councilor Pastor Alcover said he is supporting the three complainants through web based life and on his radio program however he didn't contribute to the execution and filling of the sworn statements.
"I didn't have anything to do with it. It was the unfortunate casualties who searched for approaches to push through with the case since they are looking for equity," Alcover said.
Previous Barangay Apas Captain Ramil Ayuman who was likewise labeled as pushing the ladies to document the testimonies, approached Mabatid to step down as leader of the Council and Mayor Edgardo Labella.
