CEBU, Philippines - Police Regional Office 7 is ready to seize e-cigarette users when they are better known as vape in common locations under the command of President Digong.
PRO-7 Regional Director Valeriano de Leon said he had directed Central Visayas police to take and seize vape in public locations.
"I am commanding my people to seize those who will used e-cigarettes and impound vapes in common location in the Central Visayas region," De Leon said.
Accordingly, Cebu Provincial Police Office Director Rhoderick Mariano immediately directed the enforcement along with a warning to vape sellers.
At this moment, the Cebu City Police Office has begun inspecting vape shops.
Talisay City police have also been reluctant to arrest people using a vape in a common place.
Police Major Gerard Ace Pelare, head of the Talisay City Police Station, said they will implement Duterte's strict mandate.
"The directive, once they presented the memo, is for their own good , so they adhere to the new command of the President because it will implement it strictly," Pelare said.
For him it is bad for the people to resist the urge not to be disturbed in the future as they are on their side as well.
Duterte has issued an injunction to seize the use of vape because it is detrimental to health.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Department of Education have adopted the policy.
Dr. Marilyn Miranda, education program supervisor of the Curriculum Learning Management Division of DepEd-7, said she was very pleased with the President's leadership because it was for the benefit of the children.
Miranda said the immune system of the children was "sensitive" and that the President's decision to stop it was important in order to put the health of the young people at risk because "health is wealth."
Meanwhile, Cynthia Bersabal, technical staff of the Regional Council for the Welfare of Children 7, was also very pleased with the President's intention that smoking does not improve health especially for children.
Bersabal added that the President's plans have had a significant impact especially this month.
