An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 occurred off the coast of Tonga, according to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center on November 4.
It is noted that the epicenter of tremors was located 189 km south-west of the capital of the kingdom of Nukulaof. The center of the earthquake lies at a depth of 80 km.
No information was received on the victims, and no tsunami threat was announced.
As REGNUM reported earlier, a strong earthquake of magnitude 5.7 occurred in the province of La Rioja in Argentina on Sunday, November 3. The quake epicenter was recorded at a depth of 110 km, 86 km from the city of La Rioja.
On the same day, seismologists recorded a magnitude 5.2 earthquake off the coast of Chile.
