NOT 25 homes have been destroyed while four were partially burned in a major fire that hit Sitio Ipil, Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City Thursday night, October 31, 2019.
Approximately 30 families were affected by the fire.
Cebu City Fire Marshal Asraf Grar said fire started on Junmark Gonzaga's home. The fire started at 1:45 pm.
Because other fires quickly spread to other homes, the third alarm quickly raised the fire.
An estimated P139,000 in the fire was estimated.
Grar added that they are continuing their investigation into the cause of the fire.
One of the volunteer firefighters who assisted in the fire was rushing to their home after it was announced that their home was on fire.
Dave Villamor said in an interview with Superbalita Cebu that he used to feel sorry for the families who had just lost their homes after a fire.
But now it is different that he and his family have been affected by the fire.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) first expects the Soul to always check their homes before leaving while visiting their deceased loved ones.
On Wednesday, October 30, the BFP raised its alert until the end of the annual Remembrance Day. (Cebu Superintendent)
