1. PHILIPPINES. Kawasan Waterfalls on Cebu Island.

Kawasan Falls is a natural attraction of Cebu Island. Located near the town of Moalboal. You can get with the guides for 2 hours, or on a regular bus for 3-4 hours. Buses leave from the southern bus station from Cebu. The main thing is to ask the driver to stop near Matutiano Badian Church. Next, just go along the path yourself. Admission is approximately 2000 pesos with canyoning. If you want to rent a raft at the main waterfall, then pay directly at the waterfall. In truth, the waterfalls are very much like waterfalls in India, they are even somewhat similar in height and order. From some waterfalls you can jump into the water. In addition to the usual walk, canyoning can be booked. This is when you are taken to the very top of the road and you go down the waterfalls in the canyon, slide into the river, on your stomach, somersault, in general, if you went there, then there is no turning back, only forward)))) According to many visitors, this is terrible and scary, but interesting and worth it)

2. PHILIPPINES. Cebu,  Oslob. Whale sharks

Perhaps one of the most exciting excursions on the island of Cebu is swimming with whale sharks. The local name is whale sharks tuki. They are considered the largest fish on the planet. The length of an adult reaches 12-20 meters.

Tourists are taken to the sea in small motor boats with bang balance.
Whale sharks are not dangerous to humans. They feed on plankton, krill, small fish, squid. They swallow water, and then, like whales, filter their feed from it.

Local fishermen feed sharks. That is why tourists have the opportunity to look at giant fish so closely.

From 6 to 12 days (excursions take place only at this time), several workers swim in boats and throw handfuls of shrimp in the shark's mouth. They move along the coast, and the giants follow them.

Whale sharks are leisurely. But the instructors still require swimmers to keep a distance of 5 meters from the head and 6 meters from the tail.

It is an incredible feeling when such a huge creature swims near you. Although you understand that it is not dangerous, it is breathtaking from such power.

3. Temple of Mother Mary. Simala Church

This Church is very different from all Philippine churches. This grandiose building is striking in its beauty. The church gained very wide fame thanks to the magical statuette of the Virgin Mary. Any request is made. A huge gift museum for Mary’s mother was made in the temple. All students who requested successful exams, after graduation, bring gifts and write letters of thanks. And those who were in a wheelchair and asked for healing bring their crutches and chairs.
This is truly a miracle. When you read these letters, you understand that there are miracles in the world.

6. Moalboal, Cebu, Philippines. Pescador Island

There is only a small resort on the island

Behind the cape there are many boats with tourists
It’s not even possible to reach it - people come to it solely for the purpose of swimming around and admiring the reefs.

From the blue starfish hanging on the rocks, you can understand how much the water level rises in the tide

Around the island, dozens of fishermen

Fish is caught literally by hands - there are so many of them here that it is surprising that she herself does not jump into boats. Each fisherman holds one leg in the water - and there is a flipper on it! This is an extra steering wheel
Here you can explore the underwater world of the island and have a great swim. Moalboal is in sight.

On the way to the island and back you can visit the place where turtles live. Nearby there are many places where turtles live. You can take a photo with them and swim. Touching turtles is prohibited.

8. Cebu, Sumilon Island

Sail to the island in just 30 minutes and boats go there directly from the cafe in Oslob. There is no need to pay for the whole boat, even on a weekday you can wait for tourists and share the cost of the trip with them.

Long before the "opening" of Oslob as a place where you can swim with sharks, tourists came here to dive and snorkel in the vicinity of Sumilon.

When you sail to Sumilon Island you can see two large islands neighboring Cebu - Bohol (with chocolate hills) and Negros (with impressive peaks of the Talinis volcano).

Meets Sumilon Island with a tiny beach from Cebu Island. The place is beautiful in terms of photography, but useless in terms of snorkeling. In addition, there may be a strong current.

Sumilon has the only resort, not bad, with the corresponding room prices. Guards move around the island so that people for whom a part of the beach is allocated do not spoil the rest for visitors to the resort. It seems "Private Beach" is highlighted for the resort.

On weekends, many local tourists who play swim and snorkel. The beach has many large corals and it will be difficult to walk barefoot. Overgrown rocks, turned by water under the base, are very reminiscent of the island of Coron.

You will enjoy snorkeling here, but without something unusual and memorable. Perhaps you can watch the turtles here, if you're lucky.

Closer to the shore you will see many dead corals. And near the rocks, a strong surf builds a meter-long coral wall.

The blue look of corals is interesting, which change the color of the beach with their intersperses.

In general, Sumilon is a good day trip near Oslob - to relax and take a little swim with a mask. Most likely there are several other places for swimming on the island, but security does not allow passage there.
