In Cebu City, Police Mayor Henrix Bancoleta's group arrested tricycle driver Arnel Salapa Estor, 34, of Puntod-Alasda in Barangay Mambaling, during a buy bust operation Saturday night.
The suspect was arrested at Sitio Sto. Nino, Barangay Mambaling after allegedly selling drugs to operatives. He seized 1.1 kilos of suspected drug worth P7,480,000.00 based on Dangerous Drugs Board Value.
During an operation that took place in Sitio Mananga 2, Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City on Saturday night, high value target Grethel Rabandon Mercado, 29, was arrested at the scene.
Arrested suspects arrested for using illegal drugs found at the home of the suspect, Joel Gersmeo Babi, 40; Alexander Navarro Mirasol, 49; Dax Tecson Mosqueda, 36; Alfre Entrina Macalua, 19; Cleo Aba Selona, 27; Balmer Sanchez Linao, 40; Michael Socobos Alindahao, 31; and Victor Nacario Basalo, 35.
The suspects seized 45 small drug packages, a medium drug package weighing 26.32 grams worth P178,976.
While in Mandaue City, separate buybust operations arrested nine suspected pushers in Barangay Cabancalan, Mandaue City.
Police Captain James Conaco of the Basak Police Station at the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) identified the suspects as Marilyn Istur, 57, and Jed Cortes, 35, both of whom were living at the scene.
Conaco said they were arrested last Saturday on two counts of drug trafficking.
The two denied the charge but Conaco said Cortes and Istur had already been included on their drug watch list.
Other suspects in the operation were mother and son Rosario Quibo-quibo, 45, and Zusano Quibo-quibo of Sitio Almers, Barangay Tabok with 14 packets of drugs.
They also arrested Enrique Nacua, 40, Allan Lampon, 38, who was found with 16 packets of drugs.
Police Station 6 also arrested Adrian Colarte; Rolly Ouano and Aaron Sarabosing for illegal drugs.
The two denied the charge but Conaco said Cortes and Istur had already been included on their drug watchlist.
