Hyundai has announced a launch date for its “refreshed” Solaris / Verna sedan. Officially, the novelty will be available on October 30, but the first commercial vehicles have already reached the official dealers of the Korean brand.
Recall, the official presentation of the model took place on September 5 at the Chengdu Motor Show. The exterior and interior of the four-door have changed markedly. So, Solaris / Verna of the 2020 model year got a large hexagonal radiator grille, an upgraded front bumper and other head optics, decorated in the style of the new Elantra. Also, improved and taillights, which are now combined with a decorative plastic insert.
The “freshened” sedan has become a little larger: the length reaches 4,405 mm (plus 25 mm), and the size of the wheelbase remains unchanged - 2,600 mm.
In the interior of the restyled Solaris / Verna, a modified front panel appeared, which now houses a widescreen touchscreen of the multimedia complex, slightly rising above the dashboard. The driver and front passenger are provided with more comfortable seats with pronounced lateral support.
At the moment, a novelty is available non-alternative “aspirated” with a volume of 1.4 liters, providing a return of 100 hp The engine is paired with a six-speed "mechanics" or "automatic".
According to preliminary data, the basic version of the "refreshed" Solaris / Verna in the Chinese market will cost from 73.9 thousand yuan.
It is possible that the same version of the model will survive the version intended for the Philippines.
