Cebu will celebrate the 500th anniversary of the religion of Catholicism in the Philippines. The event will happen in 2021.
Cebu City Tourism Commission will have a lot of work to organize a holiday. Mayor Edgardo Labella said a large number of events will be held in Cebu at this holiday. He hopes the city will be able to organize a holiday so everyone can come to the event and enjoy it. People will be able to see the best attractions of Cebu, such as Catholic temples for example.

A little bit of the history ... the Catholic Church began it's existing around the year 1521. The first missionary activity took place on Easter.
