The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) conducted an operation during which four criminals were arrested. The special operation took place in the mountainous areas of Ayungon, Mabinay, and Bindoy, Negros Oriental.
Armed groups managed to arrest suspects who are members of the New People's Army (NPA). The authorities organized the process of spying on the criminals on July 24. They are suspected of killing four members of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) last July 18.
On July 26, Onie Bangala, 37, and Nerie Boy Bangala, 25 were arrested at Barangay Carol-an, Ayungon, Negros Oriental. Unfortunately, the third criminal Nerie Boy managed to avoid arrest. The killers had one shotgun, live ammunitions, empty shells, knives, syringes, electronic wires, two revolvers.
A few days ago, Efepanio Romano was arrested. He lived in Sitio Sook, Barangay Mabato, Ayungon, Negros Oriental. He has one rifle grenade and one black bandoleer.
Two other suspects, Rico Oracoy and Lito Cadusale, were detained in Sitio Yamut, Barangay Mabato. They will be charged with illegal possession of weapons and ammunition.
