A short biography of Manny Pacquiao
Manny Pacquiao was born in 1978, Kibawa, Philippines. He had a poor family.
At the age of 13, he was forced to quit school and start working as a street vendor.
When Pacquiao was 14, he went to Manila to build his sports career. Later he joined the national boxing team. He conducted 60 fights for his amateur career and won some local championships. The government paid for Manny Pacquiao’s food and accommodation because of the poverty of his family.
Later he moved to America. Frederick Roach became his first coach there. The first fight in the professional career of Manny Pacquiao was held in 1995. He received his first title in 1997. Over the years of his career, he spent 70 fights. 61 fights ended in victory for Manny Pacquiao.
