Each and every country, city or even a village has a bridge, which it can be proud of. And the Bohol does. It is the Bamboo Hanging Bridge. This place is one of the greatest places of interest, which is situated in the Cevilla town. This is about 36 km from the city of Tagbilaran.
The Bamboo Hanging Bridge crosses the the Sipatan River. At the beginning of its “history” the construction of the bridge was made of rope and bamboo. But nowadays instead of the rope the steel is used. This steel adds more safety and stability to the bridge. Its deck is still made of bamboo. Sometimes some of slats can seem to be broken, but they are strong enough to take weights of visitors and tourists.
Walking along the Bamboo Hanging Bridge differs from walking along the common bridge, as it is possible that someone could experience some up and down bounce, and also some side to side sway and.
The Bamboo Hanging Bridge has a length of around 40 meters. From it one can observe breathtaking view of Sipatan river. There is a shop with souvenirs on the other side of the river. There one can buy presents for themselves as well as for relatives/ friends. “The Buko King” is available in this shop, too. It is responsible for stripping a coconut with its teeth very quicky.
The entrance fee is only ten pesos. This money is used to maintain the bridge. It is worth seeing- come here and enjoy nice views and beautiful sunsets, which would amaze everyone for sure.
