The small island of Camiguin is a true gem of the Philippines. The island is relatively civilized with a lot of beauty, gorgeous beaches. It is inexpensive with good internet. There are very few tourists, because the place is not particularly popular.

Camiguin Island is an island province of the Philippines in the Bohol Sea, which is situated only 11 kilometers from the northern coast of Mindanao Island. This island is included in the 25 most interesting sites of the country.

Few buildings remain from the colonial times. There is a local public services center on the island. There is a bakery selling buns, which are really worth trying.

Camiguin Island has a volcanic origin and consists of many volcanoes collected on one small island.

Mambahao town is a capital of this island. There is even a sort of observation deck, not far from the airport runway in the capital.

To get to Camiguin is no more difficult than to get to Boracay. There is an airport on the island itself, but there is only one flight a day from Cebu, but they are very early in the morning.

This is the second smallest province in the country and it`s a real treasure of natural attractions, both on land and under water. On the island there are lots of volcanoes, waterfalls, hot springs and various rich flora and fauna in the terrestrial and underwater environment. The coastal waters are full of coral thickets and are protected by the state, so Camiguin Island is a real paradise for divers and lovers of untouched nature.
