Police captures Carreta lady with P170,000 worth of illicit medications

CEBU CITY, Philippines — Anti-illicit medication agents captured a lady, who professed to be a previous activity request worker of the Cebu City Government, with P170,000 worth of unlawful medications in a purchase bust task directed on Friday night, June 14, 2019 in Barangay Carreta. 

Lieutenant Colonel Glenn Mayam, leader of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) Visayas, said that Jane Davis Ruby, 51 and an occupant of Barangay Carreta, has been under reconnaissance for week after week pusher indicated her as the provider of illicit medications. 

Seized from Ruby were one medium-sized pack containing unlawful medications, P500 stamped cash, P50,000 boodle cash and a cellphone. 

Mayam said a poseur-purchaser from PDEG Visayas Special Operations Unit 5 orchestrated with Ruby to buy P50,000 worth of illicit medications. He said they experienced considerable difficulties capturing Ruby since she didn't manage people whom she didn't have the foggiest idea. 

Digital however addressed that she is a previous activity request worker allocated in the bookkeeping division of the Cebu City Government when gotten some information about her occupation. 

Ruby is right now kept at the Abellana Police Station pending recording of charges infringing upon Section 5, Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
