The Yap Sandiego Ancestral House is a private house, which was built around 300 years ago. Although its building was finished in the seventeenth century, it is surprisingly strong.
This house is one of the oldest buildings in the country.The house is decorated greatly in the style of past: family photos and antique furnitute.
There is a beautiful garden on the back yard with benches to have rest near green plants.
A lot of religious images of Santo Ninos are situated on the first floor of the house. The second floor consists of bedroom, living room and a place to eat. The furniture represents different styles of past. Kitchenware is mainly in Spanish styles.
The earliest known tenants of the house were don Juan Yap and his wife Maria Florido, who later bequeathed the house to their brothers and sisters Maria, Eleuterio and Consolacio. The house is currently owned by a member of the same family. He is an art collector, dance artist and heritage enthusiast Val Sandigo.
