The National Youth Day (NYD) coordinators asked general society to pursue the safety efforts by the Philippine National Police (PNP), including the no-knapsack strategy at the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño and the Cebu City Sports Complex.
As per Fr. Imprint Rommel Barneso, the NYD controlling group pioneer, just authority NYD knapsacks will be permitted inside the Basilica amid the opening mass of the NYD at 7:00 p.m.
He said non-pioneers with rucksacks won't be permitted passage.
Fr. Andrei Vintanilla, the NYD directing facilitator, said that the travelers have just been allocated in specific territories in the Basilica for the Opening Mass and conventional Sinulog.
He said that the need for the agents who will have the chance to be inside the Basilica for the opening mass would be those from Luzon and Mindanao, since they are the ones who probably have not encountered the customary Sinulog festivity in Cebu.
"We need them to encounter the customary Sinulog and we think Visayans have greater chance to observe the Sinulog on a yearly premise since they are close Cebu," said Vintanilla.
Police Brigadier General Debold Sinas, the executive of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7), said that no less than 1,513 police work force and power multipliers will be conveyed for the Sinulog exercises of the NYD.
He requested that the open be tolerant, particularly with the end of the Osmeña Boulevard for the serious parade from 2 p.m. until the finish of the parade around 7 p.m.
The police will join the parade at the head and the tail to verify the agents.
Sinas asked the open who will join the parade not to wear knapsacks and to give route for the travelers.
