Journey ships 'will before long dock' in Cordova harbor

THE Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Cebu Port Authority (CPA) and the Cordova Municipal Government will mutually grow the town's port to suit journey ships.

This was declared by Secretary Adelino Sitoy, head of the Presidential-Legislative Liaison Office and previous Cordova civic chairman.

Corodova Mayor Therese "Tetsie" Sitoy-Cho, his little girl, can go into an agreement with the PPA and CPA to actualize the venture, he said.

Sitoy said the PPA, with a private financial specialist through a Public-Private Partnership, will develop a terminal and recover somewhere around 25 hectares to set up more offices for voyage ships.

Sitoy said the CPA will direct and oversee the Cordova port.

Furthermore, since the CPA has an arrangement in its contract that it is approved to recover land for port development, Sitoy said there is no compelling reason to verify a grant from the Philippine Reclamation Authority.

Sitoy said if a voyage deliver, which conveys a great deal of travelers, can be suited in Cebu, this will goad monetary development.

He said that last April 16-17, SM gave 100 traveler trucks to transport 6,000 outside vacationers from the Manila North Harbor to the Mall of Asia.

"How I wish this will occur in Cebu. We are focusing on the development and remodel of the old Cordova Municipal Port to be finished before the year's over, so we can take into account voyage transports by one year from now," Sitoy said.

Sitoy said the CPA did not have any desire to blend journey ships with routinely docking household and remote vessels on terrain ports, so they picked Cordova directly over the channel.
