The Prodigy singer Keith Flint has died, reports The Sun. He was 49 years old.
In the late 1980s, Flint met DJ Liam Howlett at the rave club, where he praised Howlett’s music. After Flint asked Howlett for his cassette, and after listening to it, he returned to Lyem, but with much more enthusiasm: Flint insisted that Howlett should play his tracks already on stage, and Flint and his friend Lyra Thornhill can be on dancers So, soon in 1990 a new team was formed - The Prodigy.
From the very beginning of participation in the group, Flint was just a dancer, but in 1996, for the first time, he showed himself as a vocalist on the single “Firestarter”. In the video that accompanied the single, Flint was presented in his new image, which became the brand name of The Prodigy. The trend with vocals continued in the new single “Breathe”, where he sang with Maxim Reality. In the following work The Prodigy, the album “The Fat of the Land”, presented several songs in which Flint sang: “Breathe”, “Serial Thrilla”, “Firestarter” and “Fuel My Fire” (cover of L7). The success of the album, which became the band's most successful album, made Flint virtually the face of The Prodigy. The next work, “Baby's Got a Temper,” which was released in 2002, was largely influenced by the punk style of Flint himself, although Howlett later described the song as too uncharacteristic for the group. During this period, some controversy arose between Flint and Howlett, which may have led to the lack of vocals from Flint on the next album, "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned", although Flint sang in Hotride (El Batori Mix) from the single Hotride.
On the penultimate album of The Prodigy, “Invaders Must Die”, which was released on February 23, 2009, Flint again participates in recording several tracks from the album: “Omen”, “Colors”, “Take Me to the Hospital”, “Run with the Wolves and World's On Fire.
Flint also experimented with several solo and side projects, including groups such as FLINT and Clever Brains Fryin '. During this time, Flint managed to release only one commercial single "AIM 4" of his group "FLINT". The debut album, Device # 1, of the group was canceled before the release date of the album. Although it is worth noting that there are rare promo copies of the album itself, but not all the songs that were planned to be published in “Device # 1” are present.
